- “Why’d you let me do a kegstand?”
Kegstand
noun; blending; compounding
The activity of being held upside down on top of a beer keg, and drinking from the tap through a tube. Blends the activities of drinking from a beer keg and standing upside down. Due to the presence of somewhat of a handstand in this act, it is possible that the word was derived from a blending of keg and handstand. However the simple compounding of “keg” and “stand” is also a possibility. Kegstands often occur in college parties.
Etymology : Blending of keg and (hand)stand; Or Compounding of keg and stand; Origins of word components- Old Norse (kaggi) and Proto-Germanic (standan)
