grink

noun; blending
A generic term for any drink that comes in a green can. Jeffrey N. has an affinity for green drinks. Mellow Yellow, Sprite, Surge, 7Up, Sierra Mist, or Citrus Drop is his preferred soft drink. All of these brand name soft drinks are flavored in one way or another with lemon and lime. Furthermore, they are all carbonated and come in green cans. It is because of this latter fact that Jeffrey N. innovated the term “grink” to refer to these brands as a group. It is a combination of “green” and “drink”. I would say that the chances of this word catching on in marketing or ads is unlikely due to its humorous similarity to words like “stink” and “gross”.

My favorite green drink, grink!
Etymology : green from Old English grene from German grün; + drink from Middle English drinken, from Old English drincan.
