Cellfish

noun; blending
An individual who talks on his or her phone even when doing so is rude and selfish. The word blended cellular phone and selfish. The way the two words are blended is pretty interesting because the word selfish is actually formed from attaching the suffix ‘–ish’ to the root ‘self’, but the word cellfish takes ‘fish’ from ‘selfish’, which ignores the word’s morphological formation. It is also interesting to note that the word cellfish is used as a noun instead of an adjective although it ends with an adjective forming suffix, -ish.
Etymology : Modern Latin cell(ula) ‘little cell’ + (sel)fish ‘self-centered.’
