to gain access to the facebook account of another user without his or her knowledge, and use this access to change the user's status and/or profile. usually the change is silly, embarrassing or sexual, and unwanted. to the user foolish enough to leave his facebook account open and unattended around friends, returning to a computer and discovering that your pals have messed with your information or status, even as a joke, can feel like an unwarrented violation, a 'raping' of your precious online self. Thus, the common occurrence has come to be known as facebook rape, or frape. Through zero-derivation, the word has also become a verb, referring to the act of changing another user's facebook account in some way. (October 2010).
